I started the day normally like other days

On April 24, 2013, Bangladesh’s Rana Plaza garment factory building collapsed.

Immediatly I take my camera and get there

I suddenly felt am I in a warzone

I was hearing this scream from the rubble someone saying chop off my leg and pull me out

Around 7:30 two volunteer worker call me and show me two dead bodies under the rubble

About four million people work in the clothing industry in Bangladesh.

Over 1,100 people died in the Rana Plaza building collapse, and around 2,500 were injured, making it the deadliest accident in the history of the garment industry.

The Rana Plaza Donors Trust Fund, which supports victims and their families, needs an additional $25 million to cover loss of income and medical costs.
