TCFD Recommendations Report Launch Event in London on December 14, 2014.

Founder of Bloomberg Limited Partnership and Bloomberg Philanthropies and Chair of the TCFD Michael Bloomberg gave opening remarks at the TCFD Recommendations Report Launch Event in London on December 14, 2014.

The TCFD encourages disclosure in four key categories of governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics & targets. Each category is further broken down into subcategories, of which there are 11 in total. Specific recommended disclosures range from information about how corporate boards are overseeing climate risk and opportunity, to a description of a company’s greenhouse gas emission targets, to climate-related scenario analyses.
The TCFD has developed a framework to help public companies and other organizations more effectively disclose climate-related risks and opportunities through their existing reporting processes.
